I am a PhD student in Psychology at Stanford, advised by Professors Carol Dweck and Hazel Markus. I use experimental and computational methods to study, build, and scale psychosocial systems for navigating transformative change. I also direct the Cognitive Security Task Force at the Stanford Institute for Human-Centered AI.

I see life as lenticular. I love bringing magical people together. I'm writing about emerging experiences, thinking about long life learning (especially with LearnerStudio, where I serve as a board member), and being about psychological richness.

"Being about it" comes from Professor Cory Fields' lecture "Talking about It and Being about It: Exploring Individual and Organizational Responses to Summer 2020." My research examines how people from multicultural backgrounds can develop shared theories of change, moving from talk to action in ways that respect individual differences, while enabling both personal and social transformation.

Theories and tools can help people understand, represent, and express their lived experiences, especially when they lack the concepts or language to do so. In human-computer interaction, we distinguish between three types of tools: dumbbells (for improvement), running shoes (for productivity), and skis (for entirely new experiences). My practice focuses on building dumbbells for cognitive development, running shoes for psychological wellbeing, and skis for social connection.
